About Us

Golborne Girls Football Club

Established in 2003 Golborne Girls Football Club continues to provide the opportunity for players between the ages of 6 and 14 in our local community.

For season 2011/2012 we hope to have teams playing in both developement and competitive football leagues in the  Under 8, Under 9, Under 11, Under 12 and Under 14 age groups.

As the popularity of girls football increases, the club membership has also increased over the last 12 months. At present have over 50 players attending our training sessions over the course of a week.

We welcome all the new players that have not only found the club, but have chosen to stay with us to continue their development in this sport.

The club has grown as a result of players, parents and club officials letting potential players know where we are and what we do.

Whilst it would appear we are top heavy in certain age groups, we are looking to the future for each of the players development and welcome any new players to the club in any age group.

We will shortly be issuing the local schools with a promotional DVD to help raise the profile in our community.

If you have a daughter who would like to participate in the sport in a "Friendly and Safe" environment and would like more details, then please contact Steve Nathaniel via email or telephone. We always welcome players to the club regardless of ability.

Please do not forget, we offer TWO free introductory training sessions not only to see if you enjoy the sport, but also enjoy the training sessions, then getting the opportunity to represent the club at any of the matches organised through the local girls football leagues.

Our club meetings are held once a month and are open to players and parents so that the club officials ensure the club maintains a high standard and delivers what our players need.
