Respect

Golborne Girls Football Club are pro-active in our ongoing commitment to the FA Respect Campaign.

We have been asked by the Lancashire Football Association and The Wigan & District Girls Football League to encourage our Parents/Spectator/Teams to fully support the Respect ethic.

To assist in raising awareness of this campaign The Football Association have produced a short film which you can view from The Football Association website at  www.thefa.com/respectguide

The Respect Codes of Conduct are also available as downloads Via The Football Association Website.

A certificate can be issued at the end of the short online course for those who register.

Thank you for your support in this matter and in making football a more enjoyable place for children to develop.

Touchline Behaviour

We would ask all parents whom attend matchdays to not shout instructions across the pitch to the players. We welcome applause and a well done or even a goal celebration. We want all players to enjoy their special moments on the pitch but it is essential that the players learn to play without instruction from parents and coaches when in a match situation.

Half Time, Full Time and Training Sessions is where the players get instruction from the coaches.

On matchdays the coaches should be making notes and planning with subs during a game.

For parents this opportunity should be at Full Time and on the way home.

Instructions should be between players during a match, lets not confuse them with conflicting coach and parent instructions. They need to play to learn.
